A commitment towards better communication between the City of Cape Town and residents of Gordon’s Bay as well as clearer accountability were some of the key outcomes at a public meeting held at Krystal Beach Hotel on Monday night (4 December) to ddress recent water outages affecting the community over the past month.
A water-supply maintenance project by the City of Cape Town’s Water and Sanitation Department that was planned for Thursday (2 November) proved a challenging exercise that resulted in fault after fault and left residents of Ward 100 in Gordon’s Bay without water for up to 72 hours.
