A Massachusetts district attorney who reportedly sped away from an accident scene has paid a fine to the State Ethics Commission.
The ethics commission said Galibpis violated the conflict of interest law “by using public resources to attempt to cast himself in a favorable public light after he was involved in a motor vehicle accident and to promote a campaign donor’s rental apartments to office staff.”
The state Ethics Commission fined Cape and Islands District Attorney Robert J. Galibois II for using state resources to “cast himself in a favorable public light” after he was involved in a car crash.
