but when the government did say that they want manufacturers to build safer cars and not produce cars with lesser quality for the Indian market, I didn t see any concrete steps towards it. IMO, the government should now mandate a 3 safety rating before even a single unit of the car is sold. Don t you think that the decision to move towards dual airbags + ABS is a pretty concrete step towards safer cars for the Indian market? ....
