After 264 hours of intensive rescue efforts following the tunnel collapse in Slikyara, Uttarkashi, where 41 workers were trapped, officials express optimism. A breakthrough is expected in the next 24 hours as an 880-millimeter pipe has been advanced 21 meters through the debris, said Mahmood Ahmed, Additional Secretary Technical, Road and Transport. Three more pipes have been inserted, reaching 40-50 meters, with horizontal drilling underway.
