Man Arrested In Dublin 15 On Suspicion Of Money Laundering

Share this article A man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of money laundering. Gardai from the National Economic Crime Bureau made the arrest during a search of a home in the Dublin 15 area today as part of an operation targeting the recruitment of so-called money mules. Officers suspect the man is involved in the recruitment of money mules in the area and the laundering of cyber-frauds such as invoice redirect fraud and fraudulent text messages. He's being held at Blanchardstown Garda station under Section Four of the Criminal Justice Act, and can be held for up to 24 hours.
