NHIS Flags off GIFSHIP Platform In Edo

As part of efforts to achieve Universal Health Coverage (UHC), the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) has launched an initiative, the Groups, Individuals and Family Social Health Insurance Programme (GIFSHIP) in Auchi, Edo State.
The programme which was launched nationally in Abuja by the Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire in November last year, is the scheme’s main vehicle of enrollment especially in the non-formal sector of the economy.
In a statement signed by the Head, Media and Public Relations, Mr. Emmanuel Ononokpono, the NGIS said that GIFSHIP will be available every where in the country, ....

Universal Health Coverage: NHIS inaugurates GIFSHIP in Auchi

Abuja, April 9, 2021 The National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) has inaugurated its flagship initiative, the Groups, Individuals and Family Social Health Insurance Programme (GIFSHIP), in Auchi, Edo, to achieve Universal Health Coverage (UCH).
The Executive Secretary of the NHIS, Prof. Nasir Sambo, said this in a statement signed by NHIS, Head, Media and Public Relations, Mr Emmanuel Ononokpono, on Friday in Abuja.
Sambo, at the event, stated that GIFSHIP was redesigned to extend healthcare coverage to organisations, political office holders, donor agencies, multinational corporations, philanthropists and Nigerians in Diaspora.
The executive secretary said the overall effort of the initiative was to ensure that every Nigerian had access to quality and affordable healthcare. ....

In its determination to achieve Universal Health Coverage (UHC) within a set timeline through its various service platforms, the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) has launched its flagship initiative, the Groups, Individuals and Family Social Health Insurance Programme (GIFSHIP) in Auchi, Edo State.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Friday signed by the Head of Media and Public Relation, Emmanuel Ononokpono.
