Mysore/Mysuru:
Prof. S.R. Niranjana, former Vice-Chancellor, Gulbarga University; Professor and Chairman of Biotechnology, University of Mysore, has been selected for the prestigious “Dr. K. C. Mehta Memorial Award” by The National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (NAAS), New Delhi, for the Biennium 2019-2020 for his outstanding contributions in Plant Protection.
The Award consists of a citation and a silver plaque. It will be presented at the Inaugural Session of the XV Agricultural Science Congress at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.
Prof. Niranjana is a recipient of several awards. He is working on various aspects of Plant protection, Molecular Plant Pathology, Seed Pathology, Biological Control and Host-pathogen interaction for agriculture and sustainable development with his team of Research Scholars and Post-Doctoral Fellows from last three decades.
