Bangladesh ODI skipper Tamim Iqbal was optimistic to break the New Zealand jinx this time around as Tigers left Dhaka on Tuesday for New Zealand for a six-week tour, which starts with a long quarantine, followed by three ODIs and three T20Is.
 Bangladesh have earlier lost all their 13 ODIs and four Twenty20 internationals against the Kiwis in New Zealand.
 
This will be also Bangladesh’s first tour in New Zealand following the Christchurch terror attack on March 15, 2019, where the team narrowly escaped the gunman who targeted two mosques in the city and killed 51 people. ....

BARA: Residents of Zakhakhel tribe have asked the police to take action against people who had occupied their property and destroyed the boundary walls in Akhakhel area.
Speaking at a press conference here on Sunday, Hayatullah Afridi, Gul Jabeen and others said that about 70 people including Gul Meen Afridi, Mirza Afridi and others had attacked and demolished the boundary walls of the house on the Frontier Road in Akhakhel.
They said the police had also registered an FIR against them and arrested two of their servants. They alleged that the police refused to listen to them and register FIR against their rivals. We had bought this property and constructed a house there one year ago,” Hayatullah Afridi said. He said that they were avoiding violence, adding that their house is being destroyed by their rivals. ....

PESHAWAR: The activists of Waziristan Students Society (WSS) staged a demonstration to protest against the curfew and internal clashes over land disputes in South Waziristan district.
Led by the society’s office bearer Attaullah and others outside Peshawar Press Club on Thursday, the protestors chanted slogans in favour of their demands.
The speakers urged the government to withdraw curfew and restore peace in the area by finding out a solution to the crisis. The representatives of Pakhtun Students Federation (PkSF) also attended the demonstration.
The speakers observed that the constant curfew had created unrest and disappointment and added to the problems of the local population. ....

Sales of $1 million-plus properties in small Bay of Plenty seaside towns have doubled and even tripled in some areas as city-dwellers seek the coastal lifestyle and work-life balance.
Real estate agents say the beachside
boom is being fuelled by big-city residents seeking holiday homes. But in one seaside spot baches that have been in families for years are becoming scarce as they are snapped up for permanent homes.
The number of $1 million-plus properties sold in Pukehina doubled from 10 to 20 in a year and more than tripled in Waihi Beach to 43 from 13, according to the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand. ....

Netwealth’s The Advisable Australian Report surveyed approximately 1,000 consumers, around 600 of whom already had an advice relationship, and 400 of which had either never seen or previously seen an adviser.
