Delhi University(DU) on Friday accorded approval to start PhD in Fine Arts from the next academic year.
According to rules passed by the body, a PhD scholar has to obtain a minimum of 55 per cent of marks or nine credits or its equivalent grade in the UGC 7- point scale in the course work in order to be eligible to continue in the programme and submit the dissertation/thesis. The teaching work per credit is four hours, the statement issued by Delhi University said.
Principal of SOL Prof Ajay Jaiswal said some errors were pointed out in the SLM of two papers on Political Science by some elected Academic Council (AC) members during the AC meeting with the University on Friday (August 11).
This comes after the UGC barred the noted business school from offering distance learning and online programmes earlier this month due to gross violation of norms.
