Speaking at the ground-breaking ceremony of Tata Group and CG Power chip plants, Vaishnaw said India will be among the top five chip ecosystems in the world by 2029.
Chip Manufacturing: "Today, we are creating history while taking a leap towards a bright future. We have inaugurated three major projects for semiconductor manufacturing in India worth around Rs. 1.25 lakh crore. These projects will help India to become a global hub in semiconductor manufacturing," PM Modi said.
TEPL is setting up a Rs 91,000 crore Semiconductor fabrication facility at the Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR) and a Rs 27,000 crore Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) facility in Morigaon, Assam.
