NegOr arboretum now home to more native trees
NEW ARBORETUM. Officials and representatives of Silliman University and geothermal firm, Energy Development Corporation, pose after planting 100 native tree seedlings at a new arboretum in Valencia, Negros Oriental on Wednesday (March 30, 2022). Among the endangered Philippine tree species that were planted were banuyo (Wallaceodendron celebicum), ipil (Borneo teak), taba (Tristaniopsis littoralis), baguilombang (Reutalis trisperma), yakal (Shorea astylosa), and lisok-lisok, among others.
