Taking cues from the global price trends, the MCX April gold futures were trading at 62,504 per 10 grams at 9:20 am, down Rs 70 or 0.11%, the March Silver contracts were down by Rs 179 or 0.25% at Rs 70,415 per kg.

The Nifty started the session above 21,800 and extended gains as the day progress to cross 21,950, intraday, however, some profit booking at higher levels erased some of the day's gains, to end at 21,929.40, up 157.70 points or 0.72 percent
National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) shares surged 47% following the government's push for affordable housing in the interim Budget.
