The sixth episode of tvN s women-centric drama Mine set its highest viewership rating Sunday, garnering 8.2 percent viewership nationwide and 8.7 percent in the Seoul metropolitan area.
The 16-part soap opera was also the most watched cable channel program in the 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. prime time slot on Sunday, according to Nielsen Korea. After beginning with a 6.6 percent viewership on May 8, the series has seen a rise in popularity thanks to plot twists and the actors realistic portrayals of their characters. Mine follows two daughters-in-law ― Jung Seo-hyeon (Kim Seo-hyung) and Seo Hee-soo (Lee Bo-young) ― of a conglomerate owner family, who try to combat prejudice and find their authentic identities.
