Shantae, the original Game Boy Color game, comes to Switch this month It calls for a celebratory dance. WayForward has announced that it will release the original Game Boy Color Shantae game digitally on Nintendo Switch on April 22. The game launched in 2002 and fetches ridiculous prices on eBay, so you won’t have to put up with such things to play the game legally anymore. WayForward describes this Switch version as a “pixel-perfect adaptation,” and “Shantae hair-whips, dances, and transforms as she seeks out four elemental stones throughout Sequin Land to put a stop to the nefario...

Shantae has a release date set for the Nintendo Switch eShop on April 22, 2021. The game will also allow you to choose between the standard Game Boy Color mode or the enhanced Game Boy Advance mode. Despite its retro looks, Shantae‘s release date trailer shows off her smooth animations as she whips her hair, transforms into animals, and jumps from platform to platform.
