张占永居住的陕西省西咸新区沣东新城芊域溪源社区是一个保障性住房小区。3年前社区成立时，许多公共服务不完善。随着社区组建“居民代表议事会”，大家的事交给大家商量，社区服务越来越到位。
“在一次‘居民代表议事会’上，我反映了书画室太小的问题。没多久，书画室就搬到了这里。”张占永说，“议事会”很管用，居民提出的许多合理化建议都被采纳。
如今，走进社区办公楼，1200平方米的场地内仅有一间办公室，其他空间被设计为党员活动室、心理咨询室、社区电影院等17个功能室，可为群众提供30多项服务。
