SH2 near Opotiki blocked due to crash File photo. There has been a single vehicle crash on State Highway 2 between Awakeri and Opotiki. NZTA advise that due to the crash between Paerata Ridge Rd and Appleton Rd, SH2 is now blocked. Police were notified of the crash on SH2 at 10.50am and say that the driver has suffered moderate injuries. Motorists are cautioned to expect delays through this area and pass the scene with care.
