SH2 reopens, one person critical after crash File Image. SunLive. State Highway 2 has reopened following a two vehicle crash earlier today.  One person has been taken to hospital by helicopter in a critical condition following the incident.  Police responded to the crash at 11am and the road was closed between Old Tauranga Road and Athenree Road. There are no new cases in the community. The new case arrived in NZ on January 26 from the United Kingdom via Qatar and tested positive at Day 3. They are in managed isolation in Auckland. One previously reported case has now recovered. The total number of active cases in New Zealand remains at 71.
