Central MO food bank distributed 32 million lbs. of food in 2020, food insecurity rate up
New numbers from the Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri show 32 million pounds of food were distributed in 2020. Communication and Marketing Manager Seth Wolfmeyer said distribution has been an ongoing challenge, but overall, he said the Food Bank has been successful in ensuring that they meet supply and demand. "It's been interesting to see this challenge of getting the food in, as well as sending it out," Wolfmeyer said.
