Widespread showers and storms will be occurring just to our west over the Texas/Louisiana border and northern Louisiana Tuesday. These storms will eventually make their way eastward Tuesday night through Wednesday ahead of a cold front. There will be the potential for scattered severe storms over the Lower Mississippi Valley where the majority of the viewing area is placed under an enhanced risk (3/5) for severe weather in orange below.

A line of severe storms moved through North Texas overnight, bringing heavy rain, lightning, hail, and some flooding.

As the next cold front approaches, moisture will increase, bringing some rain to more of the area starting Tuesday morning.
