The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration yesterday recorded the highest daily drop in the water level of Angat Dam, from 186.55 meters to 186.15 meters or a decrease of at least 40 centimeters.
The water level of Angat Dam and five other dams in Luzon continued to drop despite rains experienced last week in many areas in the country, according to latest data from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration.
With a dry spell looming, the National Water Resource Board may have to reduce water supply from the Angat Dam after the end of the two-week extension of the current 52 cubic meters per second water allocation by the end of the month.
