Comforting survivors and assisting them to access justice continue to motivate Dr Losana Burua to carry out her work as clinical doctor at the Medical Services Pacific (MSP) post-rape clinic in Suva.
In 2020, the clinic received a total of 206 survivors, majority of whom were brought through the Child Abuse and Sexual Offices Unit (CASOU) of the Fiji Police Force, which included the case of the youngest, three-month-old girl rape survivor.
The number of cases brought to the clinic per month has jumped to two digits since May. ....
