As a resident of this island community for over 13 years, I know how limited we are in recruiting and retaining experienced personnel capable of occupying the positions which are mission-critical to our island community. On November 8th, we will have an opportunity to elect an individual who possesses the experience and character needed to tackle the law enforcement issues plaguing our county today as well as the new threats we are seeing.
