Date Time New footpath from Bridge in Bass A new footpath is being constructed along Hade Avenue in Bass, linking the Bass Bridge, to the memorial area, cenotaph and carpark. Work is underway on the project, which is expected to be completed prior to ANZAC Day (25 April). This $50,000 project is fully funded by Bass Coast Shire Council as part of its 2020/21 Capital Works Program. These works will give the community a safe pedestrian connection to existing footpath network and provide connection to the existing memorial shelter and nearby off-street parking adjacent to the Bass Hotel on Hade Avenue. The project will include the construction of a concrete path from the bridge to the memorial area, as well as a gravel pathway from the memorial area to the carpark, opposite the Bass Hotel.
