The Municipal Water Affairs Bureau in Beijing, China has started a two-month spring ecological water replenishment program to promote groundwater conservation and the recovery of the ecological environment in the Chaobai River basin. The program involves multi-path ecological water replenishment combining main and tributary streams from surface water sources including Miyun Reservoir, Baihebao Reservoir, Yaoqiaoyu Reservoir and Beitaishang Reservoir.
