Celebrating the end to a great pre-season, last weekend finally saw the hard work of the Whitsunday Sea Eagles Women’s side pay off with their return to the AFLQ Mackay competition.
Most of the side had never played together as a team, with some never having played a game of AFL at all.
Lead by Coach Ian Hodges and Captain Georgie Carland, the team proceeded to not only enthusiastically take the field against the Eastern Swans but put up quite the challenge. ....
