SHAH ALAM: A policeman from the South Klang District Police Headquarters who was found positive for Covid-19, died while undergoing self-quarantine at home, Wednesday.
South Klang District Police chief ACP Shamsul Amar Ramli said the 53-year-old escort officer from the Internal Security and Public Order Division died at 9pm, and confirmed that the latter was undergoing quarantine from Jan 23 to Feb 1.
“But on whether he died due to Covid-19 or otherwise, I cannot confirm,“ he said when contacted by
Bernama here, Thursday.

He was asked to comment on a statement by a non-governmental organisation that an escort officer had died due to Covid-19. ....

Two arrested in Klang, house used for storing drugs raided

KLANG: A house in Persiaran Seri Junjung in Port Klang here, which was used to store drugs, was raided by the police.
South Klang OCPD Asst Comm Shamsul Amar Ramli said the house was raided on Tuesday (Jan 5) shortly after two men were detained in Telok Gong, Klang, on the same day.
Checks on the suspects revealed 455g of heroin.
Further investigations then led police to the house and the raiding team discovered 1.8kg of heroin as well as a pistol and a magazine, he told a press conference at the South Klang police headquarters on Thursday (Jan 7).
ACP Shamsul Amar said the drugs, worth about RM20,000, were believed to cater to those in Klang. ....

KLANG: A pilot and his co-pilot escaped with light injuries after the helicopter they were on crash-landed near West Port Pulau Indah here while performing a hovering manoeuvre – the second accident involving helicopters in recent months.
Khairudin Dahlan, 73, and his co-pilot Moithu Kutti Mohamad, 53, were flying the two-seater Robinson R66 Turbine during the incident which caused its tail to snap off.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Norazam Khamis said they received a distress call at around 10am yesterday before a fire engine with seven firemen was dispatched to the scene.
He said the aircraft was forced to make a crash-landing in an open area along Jalan PKFZ, West Port Pulau Indah. ....
