NEW and significant information has led to an investigation into the brutal murder of a woman being reopened three decades later.

Carol Clark, 32, (pictured) was found strangled alongside the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal in Bristol in March 1993. Her neck had been broken in the fatal attack.
Carol Clark was last seen getting into a car in the Montpelier area of Bristol on 26 March 1993. Her body was discovered by the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal two days later. Gloucestershire Police have now received new information they say could unlock the case.
