Sugarbook founder in remand after earlier decision overturned

SHAH ALAM: The founder of “Sugarbook”, a so-called sugar daddy dating platform, has been remanded for a week starting Thursday after the High Court overturned an earlier decision. The remand order was issued by High Court judge Justice Noorin Badaruddin following a revision petition by the Selangor prosecution’s office. A day earlier, a High Court deputy registrar, who was sitting as a magistrate declined to grant police the remand order.
