jessica, lisa booth and susan lee. good to see you. jessica thank you for joining us. [laughter] ed: yeah. and ed. we were going to do it last friday night and lisa murkowski was on the senate floor talking. but now we get a chance. what do you think of the first lady speaking out? i think she did well. i think she said some things that are ridiculous that she is the most bullied people in the world. a lot of people are suffering from bullying, being physically attack and things like that who would disagree with her. but whenever she gets in front of a camera, and does an interview she does herself world of good. her popularity 54% far above any other member of the trump administration or trump family. i appreciate her answering questions what it feels like when your husband is accused of cheating on you publicly. she isn t the first first lady to suffer from that but it s
today. bill: you ticked off a number of things that are priority and also a story that mike pence is trying to get rid of all the anti-trumpers in washington based on the leaks that you have seen, there are clearly people within this government who don t like him. whether it s true or not, they ve got their knives out, marc. that s very true. look, there are two different reasons to have your knives out for the president. he isn t the first president that has had people with knives out for him. one, you think that he his handling of the office is inappropriate or two, you don t like his policies. if you re upset because of what he is doing on tax reform or the way he is handling puerto rico or the way he is handling the situation in las vegas, that s one level of it. it is entirely another thing when people are just trying to undermine the president s credibility as a human being. so i feel badly for the
this is like neil: i love that you bring everything back to lower tax rates. i m just, you know, art laffer infused my brain. neil: he isn t the first to the say all this artificial intelligence, it is moving so rapidly. he acknowledges that he doesn t come up with it, competitors will, and if your competitors are doing it and you re not you re at a advice dang. but he acknowledges that this could lead to trouble. but think about what he s predicting. something that is out there, in, you know, 200 years, maybe, 100 years. neil: i don t know, 200 years. you didn t see planet of the apes. i didn t. neil: they started out as our friends. this funny. but there is a serious thing here, in the sense that robotics are replacing humans at a fast clip. they re doing it as companies seek to downsize and keep their margins in this environment.
this is campaigning versus governing, and now he has come back from the region and from discussions with mr. netanyahu and one can hope, certainly i hope from that discussion he has learned how difficult this will be and how detrimental it will be to the peace process going forward. good luck getting it started if that s your first move is trying to move at least part of our embassy from tel aviv to jerusalem. and oh, by the way, there could be real risk to americans traveling in israel whether on vacation or people working there if you start to do this move. because there could very well be a violent reaction in the region. what does it say to you that he is willing to back away from that campaign pledge. he isn t the first president who has backed away from that kind of commitment once they get hit with reality and what it would mean in terms of the peace process. i give him credit for backing away from it. i mean, he was very clear to you in that interview. he couldn t have been
kill it. and now there s renewed talk on capitol hill of a deal to resale and replace obamacare. how do you make sense of all of this? if you re a trump republican this stuff might look pretty darn good. i think we miss that sometimes. it might look even better if you were starting to worry that president trump was shape shifting into a mental of the washington establishment. remember we were talking about flip-flo flip-flops, his promotion of steve bannon and jared kushner? but promotion isn t necessariory movement. that order he is signing at the v.a.? he isn t the first to try to fix v.a. and he won t be the last. for reference, reagan s tax overhaul was final 100 papers long. there s a lot of room to spare to negotiate. that threat to kill nafta? it turned into this today.
