The last time this happened was on April 14. On most days, the district recorded the maximum number of deaths in Gujarat. On May 5, it had recorded around 40 deaths, the highest ever single-day death toll for Ahmedabad district. Ahmedabad with 92 cases was followed by Surat with 85, Vadodara 87, Rajkot 59.
