The United States military continued the operations of its F-16 fighter jets in Japan overruling the advice of Tokyo to ground all the machines, as per reports.
A U.S. F-16 fighter jet jettisoned two fuel tanks during an emergency in Aomori Prefecture on Nov. 30.
After Japan asked the US not to fly F-16 fighters jets until its investigation into the dropping of fuel tanks is complete, new F-16 flights were logged regardless.
The request came after one of the jets dropped two fuel tanks on Tuesday evening before making an emergency landing at Aomori Airport.
