People who have to take time off work because of COVID-19 can now qualify for up to four paid sick days under the province’s new Sick Leave Program. The province says the $16 million program is expected to distribute money to more than 100,000 people. People who can’t work remotely and miss less than half of their scheduled work time in a one-week period may be eligible. That includes people waiting for a PCR test, as well as those who are getting tested, are self-isolating while waiting for results, or are going to get vaccinated.
