Cherokee Ridge is a residential golf course community that was developed by the late Sid McDonald. It is about 8 miles north of Arab and about a mile west of Allens Crossroads. Cherokee Ridge currently has 160 homes and approximately 350 residents, with more houses being built. The petition presented to Marshall County Probate Judge Andrea LeCroy was signed by 120 Cherokee Ridge property owners.
