Mosaic of the ocean floor at those depths. it essentially acts as an underwater drone. it can go around and take high-resolution pictures as well as a side scan sonar image of the ocean floor at these depths. what you heard angus houston say is that this the last hope of finding out what is down there. the towed pinger locator has done all that it can do. this is the next logical step and this is what they are doing with it and this does have a lot of good capability but this is something that they've got to use at this point and it looks like they are about to deploy it in the coming hours. >...
