BAGUIO CITY: In line with Mayor Benjamin Magalong s directive to maintain cleanliness and weed out illegal activities at the Summer Capital s trading center, city market division personnel, led by Supt. Cesar Emilio, and his assistant Stephanie Joy Espada conducted another round of inspection of the stalls at the Baguio City Market on Tuesday, July 4. They checked the cleanliness and orderliness and the microentrepreneurs compliance with the city s laws like the proper disposal of garbage, and the anti-plastic and Styrofoam ordinance. Weighing scales were also inspected to guard against unfair trade practices. Emilio said they also checked for stalls with illegal extensions or those not complying with their approved line of business or do not have approved permits.
