Amazon's 'Made for You' lets you create $25 custom t-shirts using selfies as a virtual body double
The worst part of shopping for clothes online is having to mail things back if they don’t fit. Amazon Fashion is tackling that headache with a new service called 'Made for You' that creates custom-measure t-shirts. You can choose different fabrics, necklines, sleeve lengths, fits and colors—and even create a custom label with your name on it. Your custom shirt is then viewable on a virtual mannequin designed from full-body selfies you upload to the app. The shirts, which are available for all Amazon customers in the US, cost $25 and take approximately five days to manufacture.
