Miami police say it’s a crime they have not seen before and a victim is speaking to Local 10 News after a “porch pirate,” who could be as young as 5 years old, was caught on camera stealing a package from her home.

Ring video from a Miami home shows a child stealing a package from a home, but police say an adult used the child to snatch the package.

A woman and the child, whose relationship is unknown, were walking through the Silver Bluff neighborhood in Miami around 9:40 p.m. on Jan. 29, when they stumbled across an Amazon package that was recently delivered to a home.

The presumed parent of Florida&#039;s youngest porch pirate was caught on camera Monday, earning herself a nomination as America&#039;s Worst Parent 2024.
