Newtown woman smashed car window and used cards in shop
Bank cards and a drivers' licence were stolen by a Newtown woman who smashed the window of her friend's car. Melissa Mansfield, 37, admitted theft from a motor vehicle, criminal damage and fraud by false representation when she appeared via videolink at Welshpool Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, May 25. The court heard that on September 12 last year, Simon Backhouse was alerted by his neighbour that his car window had been broken in the Garth Owen area of Newtown.
