The Dover Police department is seeking information on a shooting on Slaughter Street last night that damaged a home.
Wednesday's fatal shooting is Dover's second homicide of the year.
Of the 32 people shot in Dover last year, nearly a third — 10 — were injured in the four-block area surrounding South New and West Reed streets. Only one other hot spot in the city, Simon Circle west of downtown, saw multiple shootings, with three injured. Dover also saw its deadliest year on record last year, with nine killed, eight by gunfire. That was a 300% increase over 2019, which saw two people fatally shot.
