BUILDING work is underway on a new village hall serving five communities near Chester. The £1m project to create the new Mollington, Backford & District Village Hall is due to be completed by June this year. The new community hub, serving Mollington, Backford, Chorlton, Caughall and Lea-by-Backford, will replace the original hall built in 1950 at the same site on Station Road in Lea-by-Backford.
