Fact checking: using artificial intelligence to help journalists
Amid all of the information shared each day on social media or by public figures, how can we tell what might be a mistake or a lie? This is what fact checking is designed to do - but it's a mammoth undertaking. We caught up with Estelle Cognacq, deputy managing director of France Info, and Ioana Manolescu, head of the Inria project team Cedar, to find out how journalists and researchers have come together to address this issue through the use of artificial intelligence and data science.
