MORE than 30 residents living on houseboats in Cheshire have been evacuated due to rising water levels as Storm Christoph hits. Over the past 24 hours there has been heavy rainfall across the county and there are now four flood warnings in place as well as a number of flood alerts. Due to concerns over the level of the River Weaver and to ensure public safety, a decision has been taken to evacuate about 33 residents living on houseboats at Hayhurst Marina in Northwich.
