The 2021 finalists have been announced for the prestigious Milward Simpson Award. This honor is given to the most outstanding male and female student-athletes in the state. It is considered the most prestigious award a prep athlete can earn in their high school career. This year’s honor will be presented at a luncheon on June 19, 2021, in Cody, at the Cody Auditorium Club Room. Kelly Walsh track and field athlete Taylor Siplon has signed on with Metro State in Denver. Siplon will have a real chance to compete now that the indoor track season has begun even with a slightly limited format as compared to previous years. So, it will take a solid effort this season just to qualify for the 2021 state meet which will be in Gillette on March 6th for the girls and February 27th for the boys.  It has been an unusual experience for track athletes in general as the entire 2020 season was wiped out due to the pandemic. Audrey DaDamio (Bloomfield Village, Mich./Seaholm HS) Personal bests: 1,600 – 4:52.10; Mile – 4:55.30; 3,000 – 10:04.31; 3,200 – 10:24.78 Audrey DaDamio is the 2020 Michigan Division I cross country champion and state Meet of Champions winner.
