Richard J. “Rich” Lind, Jr., 89 of Sinclairville, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2021, at Heritage Village R&SN Facility.
Born May 27, 1931, in Jamestown, a son of the late Richard J. Sr. and Mae Edson Lind.
He was a 1949 graduate of Cassadaga Valley Central School, where he played clarinet in the band, basketball and baseball. He was also a member and past president of the F.F.A. and was active in the 4-H program, showing Guernsey cows at the Chautauqua County Fair and receiving many awards.
Rich was a lifelong farmer and had a herd of Holstein cows, heifers and calves. He never said no to helping a fellow farmer or neighbor in need which included many snowy mornings plowing for neighbors and checking on other family farms after chores. ....
