Traders and shopkeepers at Delhi's Singhu border are facing tough times once again as a fresh round of protests by farmers from Punjab threatens their businesses. The 'Delhi Chalo' march, which began on Tuesday, has led to restrictions on traffic and movement, causing shops to close early and resulting in significant financial losses. Local businesses, including a shopping complex and smaller shops, are suffering due to reduced footfall and early closures.

Singhu border on NH-44 is now inaccessible for traffic, according to Delhi Traffic Police. Due to the ongoing farmers' protest, long traffic jams have been observed at the Delhi-Ghaziabad border. Security checks have been implemented by the authorities, with Rapid Action Force personnel, Police personnel, and Riot Control Vehicles deployed at the Singhu Border.

New Delhi, February 14 (IANS): Despite the ongoing struggles of farmers attempting to breach barricades at the Shambhu border in Haryana's Ambala, the Delhi Police on Wednesday heightened the security measures at the Singhu and Tikri borders.

Several farmer associations, mostly from Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab, had called for a protest on February 13 to demand a law guaranteeing Minimum Support Price for crops. Some of them are marching towards Delhi as [arty of their 'Dilli Chalo' agitation.
