Several Kapuso programs and personalities were also recognized for their honorary contributions in the news and entertainment industry. Pioneering mobile newscast “Stand for Truth” took home the Best Digital Newscast award in the Larangang Digital category. Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes won the Best Performance by an Actor (TV Series) award for his role as “Big Boss” in the Philippine adaptation of “Descendants of the Sun.” In the Larangan ng Telebisyon category, GMA News pillar Vicky Morales was named as the Best Female TV Program Host (Public Service) for the well-loved public service program “Wish Ko Lang!” Willie Revillame won the Best Male TV Program Host (Public Service) for the country’s top-rating variety program “Wowowin.”

TV5 won the Best News Program award for its weeknight newscast Frontline Pilipinas, which premiered last year. Anchors Raffy Tulfo and Cheryl Cosim were named Best Male Newscaster and Best Female Newscaster, respectively, while Cristy Fermin of Cristy Ferminute on Radyo 5 92.3 News FM was hailed as Best Female Radio Broadcaster and Best Female Newspaper Columnist. For the entertainment category, TV5’s daily noontime show Lunch Out Loud won as Best Variety Show while its host Billy Crawford was named Best Male Variety Show Host.
