Out of the total equity inflow in mutual funds, nearly ₹3,857 crore was seen in smallcaps and ₹4,259 crore in sectoral funds. The SIP figure stood at ₹17,610 crore in December, AMFI data revealed.
During the period April-November 2023, SIP contributions stood at ₹1,24,313 crore, almost 24 percent higher as compared to ₹1,00,581 crore recorded during April-November 2022 period.
So, when we see a lean period or we see a period where markets are not going anywhere really, they're just very range bound you do not see too much new investor money coming because investors like to see a little bit of movement before they actually can commit to equity even more.
