The Department of Health have confirmed that the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases identified in South Africa is 1 669 231 with 3 614 new cases reported.
The Health Department says 1,045,104 vaccines have been administered since the beginning of the vaccine rollout.
The country's current 7-day average is close to four thousand cases per day with a doubling rate of 21 days.
These vaccination figures come as South Africa on Monday night recorded 2 792 new Covid-19 infection and 67 more deaths, taking the country’s death toll linked to the virus to 56 506
