Lucknow, Sep 13 (PTI) The Income-tax department on Wednesday launched raids at over 30 premises in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh as part of a tax evasion probe against Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan and those linked to him, official sources said.
IT raids took place at the company's bases in Beawar, Jaipur, Chittorgarh and Ajmer.
The raids began on Friday, May 26 in connection with the alleged cash-for-jobs scam when the minister was in the AIADMK government in 2011-15.
Videos and photographs of Senthil Balaji's supporters clashing with IT officials, vandalising their cars, and allegedly tearing the search warrant have emerged.
