The government has issued a high severity warning for Google Chrome users due to multiple vulnerabilities discovered by the cybersecurity agency CERT-in. Hackers can exploit these vulnerabilities to gain sensitive information and execute arbitrary code on targeted systems. Users are advised to install security updates and regularly update their browsers.
It was found that “multiple vulnerabilities” exist in the affected versions of Google Chrome, and that an attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities.
CVE-2023-7024, exploited in the wild prior to patching, is a Chrome vulnerability that allows remote code execution within the browser's WebRTC component.
